Nagpur: As part of the Maharashtra Police Raising Day Week 2025 celebrations, Nagpur Police Commissionerate’s Circle 3 destroyed banned materials worth ₹30 lakh, including nylon manja, kites, and spools, seized under the Environmental Protection Act.

The disposal, conducted under the supervision of senior officials, including Deputy Commissioner of Police Mahak Swami, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shweta Khade, and Tehsildar Santosh Khandare, took place at an open ground near Pachpaoli Police Station. The materials were crushed using a roller machine and later discarded at a dumping yard.

Cops from Pachpaoli, Shantinagar, Kotwali, Ganeshpeth, and Tehsil Police Stations participated in this operation, ensuring adherence to court orders and environmental regulations.

This move aims to reinforce the ban on hazardous materials like nylon manja and promote public safety.
