Nagpur: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) Nagpur has once again showcased its commitment to ensuring passenger safety by rescuing a minor boy under its ‘Operation Nanhe Farishtey’ initiative. The quick and compassionate action of the RPF team ensured the boy’s safety and protection.

On the morning of January 7, 2025, around 8:00 AM, a boy was found wandering alone on Platform No. 2 of Nagpur Railway Station in a distressed and abandoned state. Constable Satish Vaidya of the Platform Surveillance Team noticed the boy and approached him. Despite repeated inquiries, the child was unable to provide satisfactory responses about his identity or the reason for his presence at the station.

Acting swiftly, Constable Vaidya brought the boy to the RPF Nagpur. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Bhumika Bisen took charge and questioned the boy with empathy and care. After a detailed conversation, the child disclosed details about his age, origin, and home address, revealing that he hailed from a nearby state.

To ensure his safety, ASI Bisen, along with Constables Narendra Nehra and Neeraj, arranged for the child’s medical examination to confirm his well-being. Once cleared, the boy was handed over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) at Patankar Chowk, Nagpur, as per established protocols, ensuring his safe rehabilitation.

The rescue operation is a testament to the effectiveness of Operation Nanhe Farishtey, a dedicated initiative by the RPF to protect and care for vulnerable children found in railway premises. The proactive and humane efforts of the RPF Nagpur team exemplify their commitment to public service and child welfare.
