Nagpur: The Traffic Police Department led Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Archit Chandak, on Wednesday, January 8, penalised 5,457 motorists for various violations. A total of ₹7,80,500 fine was issued during the city-wide enforcement drive under the Motor Vehicles Act.
The campaign, which targeted traffic violators across multiple areas, aimed to ensure adherence to traffic rules and promote road safety. Officials have stated that such drives will continue to be carried out effectively in the future.
DCP Chandak has urged citizens to strictly follow traffic regulations and keep all necessary vehicle documents readily available while driving. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Nagpur Police to enhance public safety and minimize road infractions.
