Nagpur: In a tragic incident on Sunday, January 5, an auto driver succumbed to injuries following a hit-and-run accident on Dongargaon-Wardha Highway in Hingna.

The deceased has been identified as Roshan Rajusingh Thakur (38) a resident Motibagh area.

According to police sources, unidentified vehicle rammed into his auto-rickshaw around 8:00 AM and fled the scene. Thakur was rushed to AIIMS Hospital but was declared dead upon arrival. Hingna Police have registered a case under sections of the BNS and Motor Vehicles Act. 

Investigations to identify and apprehend the driver are underway.
