Nagpur: The Maharashtra Police Raising Week was celebrated from January 2 to January 8, 2025, at the Nagpur Police Commissionerate, under the guidance of the esteemed Police Commissioner of Nagpur city. As part of the week-long celebrations, various awareness programs were conducted across the city to engage citizens and spread knowledge about crucial issues.
On Tuesday, January 7, a significant milestone was achieved at Cyber Police Station, when a total of 81 lost mobile phones, worth ₹15.68 lakh, were successfully recovered with the help of advanced technical methods. These recovered mobiles were returned to their rightful owners by Lohit Matani, Police Deputy Commissioner (Cyber), who personally handed over the devices.
In another related event, an awareness program and street play were held at Maha Metro office, Dikshabhoomi, Nagpur, focusing on financial/cyber frauds and the dangers of using nylon manja. The event was attended by Maha Metro’s Director, Harendra Pandey, along with other officials and staff members including Akhil Halve, Sanjay Pandey, Vishwas Thakre, Rashmi Madankar, and others. S
Lohit Matani, Police Deputy Commissioner (Cyber/Zone 1, Nagpur city), provided valuable guidance at the event, stressing the importance of staying vigilant against cybercrimes and harmful practices like using nylon manja.
The event was organized by Senior Police Inspector Amit Dolas of the Cyber Police Station, along with his team of cyber experts, including Vivekanand Aute, Shraddha Dhomne, and others.
