Nagpur: A case of alleged land fraud has been registered at Beltarodi Police Station following a complaint by Prashant Kothiram Hadke, 43, a resident of Swawlambi Nagar, Nagpur. The disputed land, located in Mouza Beltarodi under Khasra No. 140/01, measuring 3.44 hectares, originally belonged to the complainant’s grandfather, Sukhdev Hadke.
According to the complaint, the accused—Haridas Baliram Gaikwad, 67, Vijay Purushottam Ghodke, 40, and Ritesh Shriram Ghodeswar—conspired with one Anjanabai Gaikwad to forge documents and falsely claim ownership of the land. Despite legitimate ownership entries in the official records (7/12), the accused allegedly attempted to seize the land by fraudulent means, deceiving the complainant and other rightful heirs.
Based on the inquiry into the complaint, Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Amon Shinde registered an FIR under Sections 447 (criminal trespass), 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
The police have launched an investigation into the matter, and further details are awaited.
