Nagpur: A bag containing ₹2 lakh in cash was stolen during a wedding ceremony held at The Raj Royale Lawn and Banquets on Kamptee-Nagpur Road, here, on Monday, December 2 around 3:00 PM. 

The complainant, Meena Rajkumar Kuhikar (55), a resident of the Tyre Market area near Timki, Nagpur, had brought the cash to her daughter’s wedding.

According to the complaint filed, Meena had placed the grey-blue bag containing the cash inside a decoration box and became occupied with family photographs. During this time, an unidentified individual stole the bag.

Following her complaint, the New Kamptee Police Station registered a case under Section 302 of the BNS. Efforts to identify and apprehend the accused are ongoing.
