Nagpur: In a significant enforcement action, Nagpur City Police Zone 5 has collected fines totalling ₹10.47 lakh from 234 accused individuals for violating bond conditions under Sections 129 BNSS and 126, 135(3) BNSS. The action was conducted across police stations within Zone 5 from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
The breakdown of penalties collected under Section 129 BNSS is as follows:
• Jaripatka Police Station: 38 violators fined ₹1,36,600
• Kapil Nagar: 16 violators fined ₹70,000
• Yashodhara Nagar: 43 violators fined ₹1,71,500
• Koradi: 8 violators fined ₹1,15,000
• Old Kamptee: 4 violators fined ₹45,000
• New Kamptee: 3 violators fined ₹20,000
• Kalamna: 26 violators fined ₹1,56,500
• Pardi: 9 violators fined ₹83,000
Under Sections 126 and 135(3) BNSS, 87 violators were fined a total of ₹2.50 lakh. Key fines include:
• Jaripatka Police Station: 9 violators fined ₹43,000
• Kapil Nagar: 21 violators fined ₹61,500
• Yashodhara Nagar: 32 violators fined ₹32,000
• Koradi: 3 violators fined ₹15,000
• Kalamna: 18 violators fined ₹97,500
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Singhal and the supervision of Additional Police Commissioner Pramodkumar Shevale, along with Deputy Commissioner of Police Niketan Kadam from Zone 5.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Vishal Kshirsagar and police personnel from Zone 5 police stations, including officers Dadarao Tembhurne, Vicky Meshram, Vaishali Bhoyar, and Vijendra Thakur, played a crucial role in the operation.
Authorities have stated that strict action will continue to ensure compliance with bond conditions across the region.
