Nagpur: Acting on a tip-off, Crime Branch Unit 1 on Tuesday, March 11, conducted a raid at Excel Unisex Salon in Savarkar Chowk, Pannase Layout, under the jurisdiction of Pratap Nagar Police Station and busted sec racket. During the operation, police personnel caught two individuals facilitating prostitution for monetary gains.

The accused have been identified as Bharat Pyarelal Kashyap (35), a resident of Venkatesh Nagar, Khamla, and Sanjay Umaji Ashtikar (52), a resident of Takia, Dhantoli. They were allegedly providing space for customers and coercing women into the trade. Two women were rescued from the premises.

Authorities seized two mobile phones, ₹19,600 in cash, and other materials worth ₹75,630. A case has been registered under sections 3, 4, 5, and 7 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act at Pratap Nagar Police Station. The accused, along with the seized items, have been handed over to the local police for further investigation.

This operation was carried out under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Ravinder Kumar Singal, Joint CP Nisar Tamboli, Additional CP (Crime) Sanjay Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Detection) Rahul Makanikar, and Assistant CP (Crime Branch) Abhijit Patil, with a team led by PI Amol Deshmukh.
