Nagpur: In a shocking daylight robbery, unidentified miscreants stole a bag containing ₹13 lakh cash after throwing chilli powder in the eyes of a businessman near Ghas Bazar Square in Lakadganj here, on Wednesday, March 12.

According to police sources, the businessman was carrying the cash when three individuals on a moped targeted him. They reportedly spiked chilli powder in his eyes, snatched the bag, and fled the scene before he could react.

Upon receiving the complaint, Lakadganj police registered a case and launched a manhunt for the accused.

Incidents of businessmen being robbed of cash-filled bags have been on the rise in Nagpur. In many cases, investigators have found that the perpetrators were known to the victims. The police are urging traders to remain cautious while handling large sums of money.
