Nagpur: Dhantoli police have apprehended a 50-year-old man for allegedly posting objectionable content on Instagram here, on Tuesday, March 11 night. 

The accused, identified as Mangal alias Satyaprakash Nandlal Yadav, a resident of Bharati Society, Manish Nagar, Beltarodi, was tracked down using technical surveillance.

According to police sources, the officials detected the offensive post while monitoring social mediaand initiated an investigation, leading to Yadav’s arrest. A case has been registered under Sections 192, 352, and 353(1)(a) of the BNS at Dhantoli Police Station.

The accused has been remanded to police custody until March 13, 2025, while further investigation is underway.

This action was carried out under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (North Zone) Pramod Shewale, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Madane, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sudhir Nandanwar. The operation was led by Senior Police Inspector Anamika Mirzapure, PSI Krishna Wagh, PSI Allanur Sheikh, and other officers.
