Nagpur: Jaripatka police have arrested a 20-year-old youth for allegedly luring a 12-year-old girl into a relationship and sexually assaulting her multiple times.

The accused, Amit Sukhdev Ingle, a resident of Jaripatka, had befriended the minor, who is the granddaughter of a 50-year-old complainant. Between December 3, 2024, and March 7, 2025, Ingle allegedly took advantage of her trust and repeatedly assaulted her against her will. He also threatened to harm her family if she spoke about the abuse.

Following a complaint, PSI Khutwad registered a case under sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is underway.
