Nagpur: ₹6.02 Lakh Worth of Valuables Stolen From Mankapur House While Family Was Away

Nagpur: A case of housebreaking has been registered at Mankapur police station after an unidentified thief broke into a locked house and stole valuables worth ₹6.02 lakh.


The incident took place between March 31, 2:30 PM, and April 1, 10:00 AM, at Darshan Housing Society, Bharatwada Road, Gorewada. The complainant, Pankaj Arun Meshram (32), had locked his house and gone out of town with his family. Taking advantage of the situation, an unidentified burglar broke the lock and latch of the main door, entered the house, and stole ₹5,000 in cash along with gold and silver ornaments from three bedrooms.


Based on Meshram’s complaint, Mankapur police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS.
