Nagpur: Gittikhadan Police have booked five individuals for duping an Umred resident of ₹4.1 lakhunder the pretense of securing admission at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management

According to the complaint, Duryodhan Bhajankar (47), a resident of Umred, was introduced to Akash Dhepe (35), who promised to secure his son’s admission to Ramdeobaba College for ₹4 lakh. Bhajankar made the payment but later found that the receipt lacked the college’s official stamp. Despite waiting for over 20 days, the admission never materialized.

When he confronted the accused, Dhepe and his accomplices – Ramal Kanojiya (40), Kshitij Navghare (35), Akshay Ghogale (35), and an unidentified man (40) – refused to refund the money.

Gittikhadan Police have registered a case under sections 318(4), 335, 336(2), 336(3), 340(2), and 3(5) of the BNS. Investigations are ongoing.
