Nagpur: Structural Engineer Duped of ₹21 Lakh in Land Scam in Beltarodi, 11 Accused Booked

Nagpur: Beltarodi Police have registered a case against 11 individuals for allegedly defrauding a structural engineer of ₹21 Lakh in a fraudulent land deal.


According to the complaint, Kishor Ramdas Wanjari (46), a resident of Narendra Nagar, was approached by the accused, who claimed they were selling land in Shankarpur. The deal was finalized for ₹1.1 crore, with Wanjari paying ₹21 lakh as an advance via cheques and cash between April 11, 2022, and June 13, 2022.


However, upon verifying the land records, Wanjari discovered that the documents provided were fakeand that part of the land had already been sold. When he demanded a refund, the accused allegedly refused, with one even issuing a death threat.


The accused in the case have been identified as Sindhubai Nandkishor Kalbande (55) and Radhabai Mahadevrao Choudhary (65), both residents of Hazaripahad, Gittikhadan, Nagpur; Rahul Nandkishor Kalbande (39) of Jawahar Nagar, Hudkeshwar; Dashrath Ramaji Kalbande (55), Pralhad Ramaji Kalbande (54), Vedant Pralhad Kalbande (27), Bharat Dashrath Kalbande (31), and Akshay Dashrath Kalbande (20), all residents of Ayodhya Nagar, Hudkeshwar; Shalubai Ankush Kalbande (50) and Roshan Ankush Kalbande (26), both from MIDC, Kalmeshwar; and Vikram Mahadevrao Choudhary (45) from Hazaripahad, Nagpur.


Beltarodi Police have booked all accused under IPC sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 466 (forging public documents), 471 (using forged documents as genuine), 448 (criminal trespass), and 34 (common intention).

Authorities urge citizens to report similar land fraud cases involving the Kalbande family to Beltarodi Police Station at 07103-297617 or contact PI Mukund Kawade at 9823212677.


Further investigation is underway.
