Nagpur: A burglary case has been registered at Mankapur Police Station after gold and silver ornaments worth ₹1.55 lakh were stolen from a locked residence in Gorewada Ring Road area here, on February 5.

According to the police, the incident occurred at Plot No. 63, behind Ingole Lawn. The complainant’s parents had locked the house and traveled to London, UK, to visit their child. During their absence, an unidentified thief broke the main door lock, entered the house, and stole valuables from the bedroom wardrobe.

Following a complaint filed by Dipak Prataprao Vyas, 50, a resident of Greenvilla Apartment, Ibrahim Road, Gorewada, Mankapur Police Station registered an FIR under Sections 305(a) and 331(4) of the BNS. Further inquiries are underway.
