Nagpur: A 17-year-old girl tragically ended her life following alleged harassment by her lover and his female friend. Gittikhadan Police have registered a case against accused Pawan Tekam and his female friend under multiple sections, including abetment to suicide.

The victim, a Class 12 science student, was reportedly lured into a relationship by the accused under the false promise of marriage. He was simultaneously involved with another woman, which the girl later discovered. Despite her confrontations, Pawan continued his relationship with the other woman.

According to police, the duo allegedly harassed the victim both physically and mentally, leading her into severe distress. On Monday, January 27 morning, while her parents were out and her younger sibling was at home, she hanged herself using a rope tied to a ceiling fan.

Initially, the police registered an accidental death case. However, after investigations, a case was filed against the accused pair.
