Worker Falls to Death While Building Shed in Jaripatka, Nagpur

Nagpur: A 49-year-old laborer tragically died after falling from a height while working on a tin shed in Jaripatka on Monday, October 14.


The incident occurred around 7:30 AM at Plot No. 171, Samta Nagar, near NIT Garden in the Jaripatka area. The victim, identified as Shyamlal Siyalal Pancheshwar, a resident of Ward No. 12, Barbaspur, District Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, was working as a laborer constructing a tin shed at the house of Vijay Vahane. Shyamlal, who lived in a rented quarter at Mhada Colony, Jaripatka, along with his wife and son, lost his balance and fell from a height of approximately 20 feet.


He sustained serious injuries to his chest and abdomen. He was first taken to Janata Hospital and later transferred to the Trauma Center at Medical Hospital. However, despite efforts by doctors, Shyamlal was declared dead at 5:30 PM during treatment.


Following a medical report, the Jaripatka Police registered a case of accidental death. Police Sub-Inspector Khomne is handling the investigation, which is currently ongoing.
