Nagpur: A male tiger was found dead in a paddy field owned by Prakash Ambatkar in the Patgowari round beat, near Kanhan, in the Ramtek area here, on Tuesday, October 15. Senior forest department officials rushed to the scene upon receiving information about the incident. 

Following the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) guidelines, the officials conducted a site inspection and completed the necessary documentation. The tiger's carcass was sent to the Transit Treatment Centre (TTC) for a post-mortem examination.

An investigation has been initiated to determine if there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding the tiger's death. The exact cause of death will be revealed after the post-mortem report is obtained. The post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place tomorrow at 10 a.m. Further details will emerge once the forensic report is received and a thorough inquiry is conducted.
