Nagpur: A tiger killed a man in Jamuniya village near Tuyapar within the Paining (Unified Control) Range of the Pench Tiger Reserve, close to Paoni, during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. The incident took place while the victim was in his field, marking the 11th human fatality caused by tiger attacks in the region since 2020.
The deceased has been identified as Sukhram Idpachi. Forest officials confirmed the incident on the morning of Wednesday, October 16, as they continue to assess the situation and investigate the circumstances leading to the attack.
The growing number of human-tiger conflicts in the area has raised serious concerns about the safety of residents living near the tiger reserve, highlighting the need for enhanced measures to prevent such tragic encounters.
