Nagpur: A major housebreaking incident has been reported in Koradi area of Nagpur, where unidentified thieves decamped with valuables worth ₹5.26 lakh.

The burglary took place on May 1, 2026, between 5:20 AM and 5:51 AM at Shailputri Apartment, Shambhunagar. The complainant’s daughter, Aastha Siriya (19), had locked the house and stepped out for a morning walk. Taking advantage of the empty house, unknown accused broke the main door lock and entered the

premises.

The accused stole ₹3,000 in cash along with gold and silver jewellery kept in an iron cupboard in the bedroom.

Based on the complaint filed by Kiran Sanjay Siriya (43), Koradi Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police have launched a search operation to trace the accused and recover the stolen property.
