Nagpur: A theft was reported at a residence in the Belatrodi area on December 2, 2024. The incident occurred between 10:00 PM on December 1 and 6:30 AM on December 2.

According to police, a 34-year-old complainant, Vivek Ananta Thute, who resides in Building No. 09, Plot No. 01, Viraj Park, Khapri Rehabilitation, had locked his house before heading out for his night shift duty.

Upon returning, he discovered that an unknown thief had broken open the main door lock and entered the house. The intruder stole ₹6,000 in cash and jewelry worth ₹1,45,200, including gold and silver ornaments, from a wooden wardrobe.

Following the complaint lodged by the victim, Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) Malokar of Belatrodi Police Station has registered a case under sections 305(A) and 331(4) of the BNS. The investigation is ongoing.
