Nagpur: In a move aimed at streamlining traffic and enhancing commuter convenience, the Nagpur Traffic Police Department has modified signal operations at several key intersections in the city. The changes are being implemented to address varying traffic density during specific hours of the day.
Traffic signals at certain intersections with lower vehicular movement will now operate in blinker mode (yellow/amber light) between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, as traffic volume is significantly reduced during this period. This adjustment aims to save commuters’ time and fuel by minimizing unnecessary halts at such signals.
To ensure safety, a speed limit of 20 km/h has been set for vehicles passing through these intersections while the signals are in blinker mode. The list of intersections affected by this change has been released (attached below).
