Nagpur: A tragic incident occurred on Thursday, January 2 morning when the porch of a building material shop located at Ganga Apartment, Gangabai Ghat Road, under the jurisdiction of the Ganeshpeth police station, collapsed, killing a man sleeping beneath it.

The Fire and Emergency Department of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation received a distress call around 9 am and promptly rushed to the scene. Rescue personnel cleared the debris and sent the body to Government Medical College and Hospital for further procedures.

The deceased has been identified from Wardha. Incident occurred at around 6 am. Ganeshpeth police have registered a case of accidental death and are conducting further investigations.
