Nagpur: NCC GP HQ Nagpur under the aegis of NCC Maharashtra Directorate, Mumbai conducted 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' EBSB-II (Mah ) camp at OTA Kamptee from 24 Dec to 04 January 25. A total of 600 NCC cdts from all seven Gps of Maharashtra Directorate and Kerala & Lakshadweep Directorate participated in the camp.
The aim of the EBSB II (Mah) camp was to showcase the rich culture of India - a land of unity in diversity with multiple culture, ethnicities, languages, traditions, religion etc and to foster the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat and solidarity amongst NCC cadets. The Camp Comdt Group Capt Khushal Vyas, Gp Cdr NCC Nagpur Gp welcomed all the cdts in the camp on behalf of ADG NCC Maharashtra Directorate during his opening address. He laid importance on discipline and stressed upon ensuring buddy sys, interaction amongst the cdts to enable cross cultural awareness and instilling unity.
During the 12 Days camp, numerous activities were conducted. Cdts were given brief exposure to regimented Military training, Cultural events to include Various Inter Directorate and Inter Group competitions, Trip to Air Maintenance Command, Nagpur, Sonegaon AirForce Station, Nagpur, Guards Regimental Centre , Kamptee, Sitabuldi Fort, Deekshabhoomi, the landmark of Nagpur, Visit to Futala and Ambazari lake.
Motivational lectures were conducted by eminent personalities to include talk by DIG Dr Hariom Gandhi, DIG NDRF Academy, Nagpur, who sensitized the cdts with various types of disasters, org of various disaster relief forces at various levels and also sensitized them with the drawbacks of using Narcotics and its effect on individual, family and the society in gen. Motivational talk was delivered by Wing Commander Deepika Rao and other officers.
The Camp Commandant during his closing address exhorted all cadets to be torch bearers of Unity in Diversity. The 12 Days long EBSB camp culminated on 04 Jan 25 with a cultural programme.
