New Era Pharmacy Employee Booked for Embezzlement of Medical Supplies in Dhantoli, Nagpur

Nagpur: A 26-year-old employee of New Era Pharmacy in Chhatrapati Square, Nagpur, has been booked for allegedly embezzling medical supplies worth ₹5,72,013.
The complainant, Lakhan Deviakar, IT head of New Era Pharmacy, reported discrepancies during a stock audit conducted on December 26, 2024. CCTV footage revealed that the accused, Akib Jimal Shaikh, an executive at the pharmacy for the past four years, systematically stole medicines from November 1, 2024, to December 26, 2024.
Based on the complaint, Dhantoli Police have registered a case against the accused under Sections 316(4) and 318(4) of the BNS. Further inquiries are ongoing.
