Nagpur: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Nagpur Crime Branch successfully rescued two missing minors in separate operations and reunited them with their families. Both cases involved swift investigation, technical expertise, and effective coordination under senior police officials’ guidance.

16-Year-Old Boy Found in Bidgaon:

In the first case, a 39-year-old resident of Wathoda reported his 16-year-old son missing. The boy, upset after being scolded by his mother for excessive mobile phone use, left home on January 1, 2025, at around 7:30 PM without informing anyone. When the family couldn’t locate him, they lodged a complaint at Wathoda Police Station under Section 137(2) of the BNS.

The AHTU, led by officers and personnel, launched a parallel investigation. Using technical expertise and intelligence inputs, the team traced the boy to Bidgaon. After counseling him, the boy was handed over to Wathoda Police for further action.

Missing Girl Rescued from Mondha Village:

In the second case, a 37-year-old resident of Hingna reported his 16-year-old daughter missing. The girl had left home on December 26, 2024, around 10:30 AM, claiming she was going to work but didn’t return. After an unsuccessful search, the family suspected she was lured away and lodged a complaint at Hingna Police Station under Section 137(2) of the BNS.

Acting on leads and technical analysis, the AHTU located the girl in Mondha village. The team rescued her and provided counseling before handing her over to Hingna Police for further proceedings.

The efforts were executed by the AHTU team led by Police Inspector Lalita Todase and her team, whose dedication ensured the safe recovery of the minors.
