NCC Cadets Explore Heritage at Sitabuldi Fort in Nagpur

Nagpur: A group of 630 NCC cadets, accompanied by 29 military instructors, visited the historic Sitabuldi Fort on Tuesday, January 1, 2025, as part of the “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat Camp” organized at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Kamptee.
During the tour, the cadets were briefed on the rich history of the Royal Maratha Family of Nagpur and the significance of Sitabuldi Fort. They also learned about the Anglo-Maratha Battle of Sitabuldi, fought on November 26-27, 1817, between the British East India Company and the Marathas.
The visit aimed to instill a sense of pride and awareness about India’s heritage and military history among the cadets, fostering a deeper connection with the nation’s cultural and historical legacy.
