Joint Operation by Gittikhadan, Ambazari Police Solves Two Vehicle Theft Cases in Nagpur

Nagpur: In a successful joint operation, Gittikhadan and Ambazari Police have cracked two vehicle theft cases and recovered two stolen two-wheelers.


On the night of August 29, 2024, between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM the next morning, a Hero Honda Splendor bike (MH 31 FV 3312) worth ₹20,000 was stolen from outside a house in Plot No. 123, Jafar Nagar Hockey Ground, under the Gittikhadan Police Station limits. The owner, Yogesh Omkar Kodvate (23), filed a complaint, and a case was registered under Section 303(2) of the BNS.


During the investigation, Ambazari Police, acting on a tip-off, recovered the stolen motorcycle from Ambazari Bypass Road near the dumping yard, along with an unregistered Suzuki Access moped. The accused was not immediately found at the scene.


Later, Gittikhadan Police apprehended a minor in conflict with the law in the presence of his guardians. Upon questioning, the minor confessed to stealing the Splendor bike. Further interrogation revealed that he had also stolen the Suzuki Access moped from the Kalamna Police Station limits. Both stolen vehicles have been recovered, and two cases have been solved.


The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Madne (Zone 2), Assistant Commissioner of Police Sunita Meshram (Sadar Division), and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sudhir Nandanwar (Sitabuldi Division). Investigations are ongoing.
