Nagpur: In view of the grand Ram Navami Shobha Yatra organized by the Shri Ram Janmotsav Shobha Yatra Committee of Shri Poddareshwar Ram Mandir, traffic restrictions and diversions have been announced in Nagpur on April 6, 2025 (Sunday).

The city police have issued an official notification detailing the areas where traffic will be regulated to ensure the smooth movement of the religious procession and public safety.

Key Traffic Restrictions:

• Complete vehicle ban (excluding pedestrians) will be enforced in the vicinity of Poddareshwar Ram Mandir from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on April 6.

• A temporary route has been designated for the Shobha Yatra, which will pass through:

Ram Mandir – Mayo Hospital Chowk – Bhagwaghar Chowk – Nal Sahab Chowk – Ganjakhet Chowk – Teen Nal Chowk – Shaheed Chowk – Tanga Stand – Gandhi Statue – Badkas Chowk – Mahal Gandhi Gate – Tilak Statue – Ganesh Mandir Turning – Agya Ram Devi Chowk – Geeta Mandir – Cotton Market Chowk – Lohkhandi Pul – Anand Talkies – Munje Chowk – Jhansi Rani Chowk – Variety Chowk – Bardi Main Road – Manas Chowk – Jaistambh Chowk – and back to Ram Mandir.

• These roads and their adjoining routes will be declared No Parking Zones from 6:00 AM on the day of the event.

Diversions for Light and Medium Vehicles:

From 9:00 AM on April 6, light and medium vehicles will be restricted in the following areas until the conclusion of the procession:

• Kadbi Chowk, Cotton Market Chowk, and Telephone Exchange Chowk heading towards Ramjhula Bridge

• Jaistambh Chowk to Mayo Chowk via Ramjhula

Additionally, from 2:00 PM, the following stretches will be restricted:

• Morris Chowk to Manas Chowk

• Jhansi Rani Chowk to Munje Chowk

• Variety Chowk to Manas Chowk

• Ganesh Mandir T-point to Cotton Market Chowk

• Sardar Patel Chowk to Cotton Market Chowk

The Nagpur City Police have appealed to all citizens and vehicle users to cooperate with the traffic management measures and plan their routes in advance to avoid inconvenience.
