Nagpur: A 30-year-old man died after being manhandled during a Holi-related dispute in Old Kamptee on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Ravi Shivkumar Agutlewar (30), a resident of the area behind Shree Talkies, Kamptee.
According to police sources, Ravi was passing by Chaudhary Hospital in his car when an argument broke out between him and Akshaykumar Dhanraj Gedam (30), a resident of New Khalasi Line. What began as a petty dispute over giving way while driving quickly escalated when both men started abusing and manhandling each other.
During the scuffle, Ravi fell to the ground and sustained injuries. He was rushed to the Government Hospital in Kamptee and later referred to Mayo Hospital in Nagpur as his condition deteriorated. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Ravi had married just a year ago and lived with his wife in a rented house near Shree Talkies. Police have booked the accused, Akshaykumar, on charges of murder and placed him under arrest.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
