Nagpur: Four members of the Raut family from Ganeshpeth, were critically injured after their car collided with a tree on the Badnera-Loni road in Amravati district. The accident occurred on Tuesday, October 15, while they were en route to Shirdi for a pilgrimage.

The incident happened when the driver, Pratik Raut, lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting a stray animal that suddenly appeared on the road. The car veered off and crashed into a large neem tree. The impact was so severe that all four passengers—Vijayrao Raut, his wife Pramila Raut, and their sons, Pratik and Rahul—sustained serious injuries.

Local residents rushed to the scene and helped rescue the family from the wreckage. Police quickly arrived and arranged for the injured to be transported to the district hospital for emergency treatment.

The family had started their journey early Tuesday morning, with Pratik Raut driving. The accident occurred just past Badnera on the Loni road. The authorities are investigating the incident further.
