Nagpur: The area around VCA Sadar has been plagued by a growing nuisance caused by beggars, particularly women and children, who persistently harass people for money. This disturbance is especially troubling for the youth frequently seen in the vicinity, as well as for the businesses near Checkers and surrounding cafés.

Shop owners report that the beggars' aggressive behavior is driving away customers. "Beggars reportedly annoy people for money, and when refused, they often behave rudely with customers. Many times, we have had to intervene," said one of the café owners.

The situation has become so problematic that business owners are concerned about their declining customer base. Despite efforts to maintain a welcoming environment, the constant harassment from beggars has made it difficult for patrons to enjoy their visits.

Notably, during the recent C20 summit in the city, Nagpur Police had banned beggars from the streets to present a positive image to the foreign delegates. However, it appears that this was a temporary measure, as the beggar nuisance has become rampant again in Nagpur following the summit.

Residents and business owners alike are urging authorities to take more permanent action to address the issue and restore order to the area.
