The case originated from a housebreaking reported between April 14, 5:00 pm and April 16, 1:00 pm, in Azad Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Wathoda Police Station. The complainant, Mohammad Naim (40), a resident of the locality, informed police that his mother-in-law’s locked house was broken into while she was away visiting her daughter in Hinganghat. The thief gained entry by breaking the back door and fled with ₹22,000 cash from a steel cupboard.
