Nagpur: In a surprising move amid the heightened campaigning for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections, Congress candidate Bunty Shelke, contesting from Nagpur Central, paid a visit to the campaign office of his rival, BJP candidate Praveen Datke, on Monday, November 11.
Shelke’s unexpected appearance at the BJP office, located in the heart of the constituency, appeared to be a part of his broader outreach strategy to connect with voters from all backgrounds.
Shelke greeted BJP volunteers warmly, shaking hands and even touching the feet of some present at the office, a gesture aimed at respecting local traditions and building rapport across party lines.
The Maharashtra Assembly Elections are scheduled to be held in a single phase on November 20, with the results expected on November 23. As the date approaches, candidates from all parties have intensified their efforts to win over voters in the region.
