Nagpur: In a swift operation, Pachpaoli Police apprehended two men including Kamal bar owner for assaulting a 31-year-old man and threatening him with a country-made pistol following a past altercation.
The incident took place around 12:45 am on Sunday, April 6, when the complainant, Sangharatna Milind Bhoyar, visited Kamal Bar and Restaurant near Indora Chowk.
The accused — Pritpalsingh Surjitsingh Samlok (48), and Bar owner Gagandeep Singh Harvindersingh Talwar (30), both residents of Plot No. 201, Baba Buddhaji Nagar, Pachpaoli — allegedly abused Bhoyar over an earlier dispute.
The duo took him to a back room of the bar and assaulted him with fists. Accused Pritpalsingh also reportedly brandished a country-made firearm and threatened to kill him.
Based on Bhoyar’s complaint, a case was registered under Sections 296, 115, 351(3), and 3(5) of the BNS, along with Section 3/25 of the Arms Act at Pachpaoli Police Station.
During the investigation, Pachpaoli Police arrested both accused and seized a country-made pistol with a magazine worth approximately Rs 25,000.
This successful action was carried out under the guidance of DCP Mahek Swami (Zone 3) and ACP Shweta Khade (Lakadganj Division), led by PI Baburao Raut and his team: PSI Rajendra Jadhav, constables Dnyaneshwar Bhoge, Imran Shaikh, Anand Singh, Amol Thakre, Gagan Yadav, and Santosh Shendre.
