Nagpur: In a shocking incident under Yashodhara Nagar Police Station limits, a 35-year-old man was killed after a heated argument with his brother-in-law over a domestic dispute turned violent. Police have apprehended the accused, identified as Rahul Dilip Ingle (24), in connection with the murder.
According to police, the victim, Tarachand Shivcharan Prajapati, a resident of Kali Mandir Road, Gokulnagar, Kalamna, was married to Jyoti Tarachand Prajapati (28) for the past 10 years. A month and a half ago, Jyoti had left her matrimonial home and returned to her parental residence near Shani Mandir, Kali Mata Mandir, Kalamna village.
Tarachand had been frequently visiting his in-laws, urging them to send his wife back and resolve the issue. On April 16, between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm, he visited his wife’s place once again. During this visit, a quarrel broke out between Tarachand and his brother-in-law, Rahul, over the same issue — “Why was the wife not being sent back?”
The verbal altercation quickly escalated, and in a fit of rage, Rahul allegedly struck Tarachand on the head with a brick, leaving him critically injured. Tarachand was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared him dead upon examination.
Following a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Shivcharan Jamnalal Prajapati (58), Yashodhara Nagar police registered a case against the accused under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Acting swiftly, police traced and apprehended the accused.
Further investigation is underway at Yashodhara Nagar Police Station.
