Nagpur: In a tragic incident, a 94-year-old woman died after accidentally falling into a well outside her residence in Hudkeshwar. The incident took place on Friday, April 18 morning between 9:50 am and 10:10 am.

The deceased has been identified as Shantabai Damodar Nikam, a resident of Plot No. 18, Shri Mahalaxmi Nagar, Hudkeshwar, Nagpur. 

According to police, she was found floating in the well situated in front of her house. She was immediately pulled out and rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared her brought dead.

Following the incident, Sudhanshu Dinkar Ghonghe (28), a resident of the same address, filed a report at Hudkeshwar Police Station. Based on his information, Police Sub-Inspector Nakhate registered a case of accidental death.

Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
