Nagpur: A 51-year-old tea vendor was seriously injured after being stabbed during a violent altercation between his son and a local youth in Yashodhara Nagar on Wednesday April 17, night.
The incident occurred around 8:00 pm at Santosh Nagar Chowk when the accused, Syed Irshad alias Guddu Syed Aziz (26), along with two unidentified accomplices, arrived at the complainant Nisar Khan’s tea stall. Irshad, who had an old dispute with Khan’s son, confronted him at the shop.
During the confrontation, the situation escalated. Irshad, reportedly enraged, pulled out a knife and attacked Nisar Khan instead, stabbing him in the thigh and arm. The vendor was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
Based on the complaint, Yashodhara Nagar Police registered a case under Sections 109(1), 352, 351(2), and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Section 4/25 of the Arms Act. The accused Syed Irshad has been apprehended, while police are actively searching for the two other suspects involved in the incident.
