Nagpur: Pratapnagar police arrested a 25-year-old man who had been externed from Nagpur city and its rural areas for two years but was found within the city limits.
As per cops, on Tuesday, January 21, at around 6:50 PM, police patrolling near Prajnashil Buddha Vihar apprehended the suspect as he attempted to flee upon seeing the police. The accused, identified as Suraj Kailas Hatibend, a resident of Kamgar Colony, Subhash Nagar, Nagpur, had been externed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) on November 28, 2024.
A case was registered against him under Section 142 of the Maharashtra Police Act at Pratapnagar Police Station. The operation was conducted under the guidance of senior officials, including Lohit Matani, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1).
