Nagpur: Unidentified burglars broke into a locked house in Beltarodi and decamped with cash and jewellery worth ₹5.56 lakh.

According to police, complainant Sudhakar Rajaram Dubey (72), resident of Plot No. 346, Nagar Vikas Society, Narendra Nagar Extension, Beltarodi, had kept his sister-in-law’s jewellery in his possession as she had left for Dubai. Between 8 PM on July 30 and 2:30 PM on August 1, 2025, Dubey and his family were away at his daughter’s house.

During this period, unknown thieves broke the lock of the main door and gained entry, stealing ₹1.20 lakh in cash along with gold and silver ornaments.

Based on the complaint, PSI Malokar registered a case under Sections 305(a), 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against unidentified accused. Further investigation is underway.
