Nagpur: While performing duty from Itarsi to Nagpur in Train No. 22670 Patna - Ernakulam SF Express, Shri Anees Kumar Sinha, Head Travelling Ticket Examiner, Nagpur displayed exemplary alertness and humanity. While checking tickets in coach S/1, he noticed a frightened minor girl sitting alone.
Upon gentle inquiry, Shri Sinha found that she had mistakenly boarded the wrong train while returning home after visiting Patna with her father. Attempts to contact her father on his mobile phone failed as the number was switched off. The girl had been without food or water for nearly 20 hours.
Demonstrating care and responsibility, Shri Sinha arranged food for her from the pantry car and, with the help of co-passengers, ensured some financial assistance. He immediately informed the Commercial Controller, Nagpur, and handed over the girl safely to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Nagpur for further action.
This timely intervention by Shri Anees Kumar Sinha prevented the girl from falling into unsafe circumstances and stands as an example of vigilance, compassion, and commitment to passenger safety in Indian Railways.
