20-Year-Old Youth Stabbed to Death After Road Rage Clash Near Law College Square in Nagpur

Nagpur: A 20-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed to death following a road rage dispute involving scooter riders in the Ambazari police station area during the early hours of Monday.


The deceased has been identified as Tushar Sudhir Chute (20), son of complainant Sudhir Jagdish Chute (50), a resident of Vaishnav Sai Apartment in Smruti Nagar, Hudkeshwar, Nagpur.


According to police, the incident took place between 2 am and 2.30 am on May 11, 2026, on the stretch between Cafe House Chowk and Law College Chowk near The Sleep Company showroom under Ambazari police station limits.


Police said Tushar and his two friends were travelling when an argument broke out with two unidentified youths aged around 18 to 19 years who were riding a white Activa scooter. Following the altercation, the accused allegedly abused Tushar and assaulted him with fists and kicks.


During the assault, the pillion rider allegedly attacked Tushar with a knife with the intention to kill, causing serious injuries. He was immediately rushed to Mayo Hospital for treatment, where doctors later declared him dead during treatment.


Based on the complaint lodged by the victim’s father, Ambazari Police have registered a case against the two unidentified accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Maharashtra Police Act related to murder and assault.


The offence has been registered by PSI Nandkishor Padkonde, and police teams have launched a search operation to trace the accused. Further investigation is underway.
