Nagpur: A 53-year-old homemaker was cheated of ₹5.04 lakh after a Parbhani based man promised to secure a job for her son in the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
According to Wathoda Police, the accused, Haribhau Vishnu Pawar (42), a native of Parbhani district allegedly approached the complainant identified as Vandana Rajendra Fating, a resident of Kharbi, in 2023 and assured her that he could get her son, Ashay, appointed as a Junior Executive in the Airports Authority of India.
Believing the promise, Vandana allegedly paid ₹5,04,000 to Pawar in several installments between July 5, 2023, and December 5, 2024.
