Nagpur: A tragic accident occurred near the closed toll plaza on Wardha-Nagpur Road on Sunday, February 9, when a Fiat car lost control due to reckless driving, leaving one person dead and another critically injured.

Jivan Vijay Kondawar (23), a resident near Hotel Metro Point, Vasudev Nagar, was driving the vehicle with his friend Saurabh Belasare (25) when the car crashed. Kondawar succumbed to his injuries at AIIMS Hospital, while Belasare is undergoing treatment at Vivekananda Hospital.

Based on a complaint by Pratik Anand Rangari (31), Hingna police have registered a case under sections of the BNS and the Motor Vehicles Act against Kondawar for negligent and dangerous driving. Further investigation is underway.
