Nagpur: A house in New Ganesh Nagar, Bahadura Road, under the jurisdiction of Wathoda Police Station, was targeted in a burglary on Monday, March 10. 

According to police sources, complainant Sheikh Afnan Sheikh Akhtar (20) had locked his house and left with his family to attend a relative’s funeral at Mota Tajbagh. Between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, an unidentified thief broke the main door’s lock and latch to gain entry. The intruder stole ₹50,000 in cash along with gold and silver ornaments, amounting to a total loss of ₹1.5 lakh.

Based on Sheikh Afnan’s complaint, Wathoda Police registered a case under Sections 305(A) and 331(3) of the BNS. Further investigation is underway.
