New Volleyball Ground Inaugurated at Koradi Police Station to Promote Stress-Free Fitness Among Cops in Nagpur

Nagpur: In a bid to promote fitness and reduce stress among police personnel, a new volleyball ground was inaugurated at the Koradi Police Station premises. The initiative, conceptualized by Nagpur Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singhal, aims to encourage police personnel to engage in recreational sports despite their demanding schedules.


The ground was officially inaugurated on February 8 by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 5, Niketan Kadam.


To mark the occasion, a two-day volleyball tournament was organized on February 8 and 9. Teams comprising personnel from various police stations under Zone 5, including Jaripatka, Kapil Nagar, Yashodhara Nagar, Kalamna, Pardi, Old Kamptee, New Kamptee, and Koradi, participated in the event.


The final match witnessed an intense competition between Koradi and Kalamna police teams. Koradi Police Station emerged as the champions.


Awards and Recognitions:


Best Lifter Award: Assistant Police Sub-Inspector Mahendra Chopde from Koradi Police Station


Best Player of the Tournament: Police Constable Yogesh Tatode from Koradi Police Station


The winning and runner-up teams were felicitated by DCP Niketan Kadam.


The successful organization of the tournament was made possible under the guidance of senior officials, including CP Singhal, Joint Commissioner Nisar Amboli, Additional Commissioner of Police P.P. Shewale (Northern Region), DCP Niketan Kadam, Assistant Commissioner of Police Satyavir Kumar Bundewar (Jaripatka Division), and Assistant Commissioner of Police Vishal Kshirsagar (Kamptee Division).
