Nagpur: Senior Citizen Injured in Hit-and-Run; 18-Year-Old Biker Booked in Jaripatka

Nagpur: A 65-year-old woman was seriously injured in a road accident in the Jaripatka area when a speeding two-wheeler hit her near Bhim Chowk while she was crossing the road.
The victim, Asha Dhanraj Bawane, was returning from shopping at Chandraprabhu Kirana Store when she was struck by a bike bearing registration number MH-49 CN 4448, driven recklessly by Rohit Santosh Sonawane (18).
She was immediately rushed to Janata Hospital for treatment and remains under medical care.
Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under Sections 281 and 125(b) of the BNS at Jaripatka Police Station. Further investigation is underway.
