Nagpur: A 70-year-old school director has been booked by Wathoda police in Nagpur for allegedly making obscene gestures and making inappropriate remarks towards a 27-year-old woman employee.
According to the complaint, the woman has been working at East Point School in Kharbi for around a year. The school director, identified as Ashok Jaiswal (70), allegedly approached her and engaged her in personal conversations.
Police said Jaiswal allegedly told the woman that he wanted to be friends with her and that their conversations should not be disclosed to anyone. He allegedly made obscene gestures by sticking out his tongue and moving it over his lips while looking at her.
The woman reportedly rejected his advances. According to the complaint, she felt that the accused’s intention was not merely to establish a friendship but to make inappropriate physical advances towards her.
The complainant alleged that the accused’s conduct caused her mental distress and made her feel humiliated.
Based on her complaint, Wathoda police registered an FIR under Section 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
