Nagpur: In a significant move towards the welfare of traffic police personnel, the Nagpur City Police Commissionerate organized a special initiative focused on their health and safety. The program was held on Monday, April 28, between 2 pm and 3 pm at Swagat Lawn, Nagpur.

Under this initiative, Nagpur Police Commissioner Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal distributed ‘Suncare’ homeopathic medicine to traffic police personnel to protect them from heatstroke, along with shoulder reflector devices to enhance their visibility during nighttime duties. A total of 550 traffic police officers and personnel benefited from the distribution.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Dr. Singal stated, “Traffic police officers and personnel play a crucial role in maintaining order and safety. Considering the extreme heat during the day and the challenges of working at night, ensuring their health and safety is essential. Through this initiative, we aim to acknowledge their hard work and provide the necessary physical and mental protection.”

This innovative initiative was conceptualized by Dr. Anil Sudame, with active support from Mr. Pramod Pendke, Secretary of the Maitri Parivar organization, and his team. Their collaboration helped make the program a success, offering much-needed relief to the traffic police personnel during the harsh summer conditions.

The event was graced by the presence of Additional Police Commissioner (Crime) Mr. Sanjay Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police Mr. Nisar Tamboli, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Mr. Archit Chandak.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from 550 traffic police personnel, who warmly welcomed the initiative.

Due to the intensity of the summer heat, traffic police often face numerous health challenges. The distribution of ‘Suncare’ medicines addresses an urgent need, while the shoulder reflector devices will significantly enhance the safety of personnel managing traffic during nighttime hours.

DCP (Traffic) Archit Chandak emphasized, “Such initiatives are crucial for the ongoing welfare of traffic police personnel, and we plan to organize more such programs in the future.”

The initiative has created a wave of enthusiasm among the traffic police force, significantly boosting their morale. The welfare measures taken by the Nagpur Police Commissionerate are expected to serve as an inspiration for police departments across the country. Going forward, various similar initiatives will be launched to further strengthen the efficiency and safety of police personnel.
